Sometimes you have to tell yourself to suck it up, and saying ‘Suck It Up Buttercup!” is, I think, one of the nicest ways to tell yourself that. This cute floral motivational phone wallpaper is #17 of my 52 Free Printables of the Year, even though it’s not really a printable. (I plan to have for next week a free printable index card version of this.)
And why did I make this wallpaper? Because:
Sometimes you have to make yourself do something hard. Sometimes you have to choose to do something hard even if you don’t feel like it.
I created this wallpaper for myself, to tell myself to suck it up, and just DO these hard things I have to do. And now that it is the wallpaper on my phone, I get to see this cute buttercuppy reminder to suck it up every time I look at my phone. And I think it’s working!
I have, in the past, been the type of person who could get offended at someone telling me to suck it up. My attitude was like, “I’m a sensitive delicate flower, so please do not tell me things like that!” Well, I don’t want to be that person anymore! I want to say, ‘Yeah, bring it on! Because I can DO this thing!” And well, I am not fully there yet, but here is a flowery effort in that direction.
I had not heard the term, “suck it up buttercup” before. In fact, I first heard it on a group call I was on about two weeks ago as a part of a challenge that I joined for the month of June. A challenge to stretch myself in my business.
I am learning, that in order to succeed in business, at times you have to stretch yourself and be willing to move out of your comfort zone.
I am also learning, that to reach my goals, at times, I am going to have to be willing to move out of my comfort zone.
I am also learning, that in order to fully walk in my purpose as a child of God, to fully use the gifts that I have been given, to be as much as possible a part of His Kingdom, and to actually see miracles and healings on this earth, I also have to be willing to move out of my comfort zone.
Interesting, isn’t it?
So anyway, in support of anyone who is desiring to make their life better by pushing out of your comfort zone, here is a cute reminder to do so by SUCKING IT UP, BUTTERCUP!
I have set the size and graphics for my particular phone, a Motorola Moto E, and I put the words in such a way that they show in between my icons, as you can see in the photo above.
