SOME RANDOM AND VARIED THOUGHTS ABOUT MY BREAST CANCER JOURNEY
This started out as a 31 Day writing challenge in October 2015. It was my plan to write about my breast cancer experience for the 31 days of October, while I was recovering from almost a year of treatment which had just ended in September. This was part of an annual Write31Days writing challenge that hundreds of bloggers join every year.
My plan was to just share 31 different things about my breast cancer experience. No special order, no special organization, just 31 things to get my writing on a kick start. It was a great plan, and I did well for half the month, but then my life was interrupted (by some really horrible things that I may share later) and I had to stop. I even ended up moving suddenly because of this terrible disruption.
So I ended up with 16 posts on my breast cancer journey, which are below. I plan to add more eventually, especially a few blog posts about the things that have helped me the most during my breast cancer treatment, as well as AFTER treatment.
As far as treatment, I still have plans to have reconstruction surgery in the future, and I am cancer free! To all who are reading this, BE BLESSED!
And to all who are going through cancer treatment, I want you to know you are BEAUTIFUL and you are BADASS! (Scroll down to see a t-shirt I recently designed while thinking of two friends who recently began chemotherapy.)
